Vision and Inspiration

The visual identity of Drew Kennedy is rooted in the same introspection and honesty that define the album itself. The imagery feels grounded and unembellished, allowing space for reflection while echoing the album’s themes of memory, time, and personal evolution. Much like the songs, the visual approach is intentional and understated—capturing not just a moment, but a perspective shaped by years of experience and a deep commitment to storytelling.

CUVR Journey

Drew Kennedy writes all of his own songs, crafting each lyric and melody himself rather than relying on outside writers. Because he handles the songwriting independently, his work tends to feel authentic and cohesive, with a consistent voice and perspective throughout his albums. This hands-on approach allows him to explore themes like relationships, personal growth, nostalgia, and the complexities of everyday life in a way that feels genuine and relatable to listeners.

Album Bio

Drew Kennedy is the eleventh album from the Hanover, Pennsylvania-born, Texas-rooted songwriter — his first on BMG and his most ambitious production yet, recorded at Davis Naish's studio in Los Angeles. It was Naish, Kennedy's longtime collaborator and producer, who issued the challenge: write every song alone, no co-writes — and let him take a snapshot of the songwriter twenty-five years in. Kennedy couldn't resist, and the result is a stunning eleven-song portrait of a career artist discovering new ways to tell the truth. After making 2022's Marathon in a tiny adobe house in far West Texas with the doors and windows open, the leap to a full LA studio gave Kennedy room to stretch in ways he never had before. Two and a half decades, eleven albums, one novel, and millions of miles of troubadouring later, he finally put his own name on the cover — and it fits.
