CUVR STORIES - HOST

Project-Based • Multiple Genres • Remote

CUVR is building a roster of exceptional genre-specific hosts to help lead CUVR Stories — our short-form, interview-based audio companion series that brings album artwork and visual design to life. As we expand into new genres, we want hosts who truly understand the sound, culture, and community of the artists featured. This is a project-based opportunity with recurring potential — as the series grows, hosts may become go-to voices for their genre.

This is not a full-time role — hosts are engaged on a per-episode basis, with light time commitment and full support from our production team.

What is CUVR Stories?

CUVR Stories is CUVR's audio-only storytelling platform that lives within the immersive digital experience on cuvr.art. It's the audio layer of our visual collectible ecosystem.

Each episode is a 10-minute, conversational exploration of the artwork, creative process, and team behind an album's visual identity. Hosted conversations typically feature one to two guests — the artist, designer, photographer, or creative director — diving into the story behind what fans see.

CUVR Stories brings depth to CUVR's LED-illuminated album cover collectibles through rich, immersive digital storytelling.

About the Role

CUVR Stories hosts work directly with our producer, who handles:

  • All guest coordination
  • Scheduling
  • Prep materials
  • Interview structure + story arc
  • Tech and recording workflow

You focus entirely on the conversation — we handle everything else.

Your responsibility is simple: show up, connect, and guide a great conversation.

Each episode requires approximately one hour total:

  • 20 minutes for the interview
  • 30–40 minutes of prep (all materials provided)

Episodes are assigned based on availability — this could mean one episode per month, several in a quarter, or occasional as genres align. Hosts are on rotation depending on genre fit and scheduling.

It's a low-lift, high-impact way to help tell the visual stories behind albums fans love.

What We're Looking For

We want to meet hosts who are:

  • Genre fluent — deeply familiar with a specific scene or multiple genres (country, Americana, indie, rock, pop, hip-hop, etc.)
  • Relationship-driven and credible within their music community
  • Strong interviewers with the ability to lead short, focused creative conversations
  • Experienced with artists — or are artists themselves
  • Passionate about album artwork, creative direction, and the design process
  • Adaptable and comfortable tailoring tone to each artist and project
  • Able to record remotely with basic audio capability

Ideal backgrounds include:

  • Artists or musicians
  • Radio hosts / DJs
  • Podcasters or short-form content hosts
  • Music journalists or interviewers
  • Industry professionals with artist-relations experience
  • On-camera or voice talent in music or culture
  • Label, management, or marketing professionals with artist communication experience
What You'll Do (Per Episode)
  • Review a producer-prepared packet (album art, credits, story notes, talking points)
  • Align with the producer on interview flow
  • Host a tight, 10-minute conversation with the artist or visual creator
  • Pull out insights about the artwork, creative process, collaboration, design decisions
  • Record clean audio through our remote workflow
  • Provide any short follow-up pickups if needed
Who Thrives in This Role
  • Someone curious about art, the creative process, and how visuals tie to the music and the project
  • Someone genuinely interested in visual storytelling and design
  • Someone who can make artists feel comfortable quickly
  • Someone who respects both music and the creative teams behind it
  • Someone excited by short-form, high-quality storytelling
What You'll Get
  • Exposure to new artists and creative teams
  • Opportunity to build your voice in music storytelling
  • Flexibility to participate around your schedule
  • Chance to be part of a growing platform that honors album artwork and visual storytelling
About the Engagement
  • Project-based; not full-time
  • Compensation per episode
  • Multiple hosts will be selected across genres
  • Episodes assigned based on genre alignment, availability, and artist preference
  • All coordination and prep handled by the producer
  • Easy to accommodate alongside a primary job, touring, or media responsibilities
